It is an admirable goal worthy of pursuit.

Most of us know that our government officials are not the brightest bulbs in the batch when it comes to saving money. But they certainly don't need to be spending millions upon billions of dollars on ideas that might not pan out as good they'd like.

The key to making our athletes even better in the future is to: think small, and start early.

I suggest that the Canadian government license a copy of P90X for each Junior/Senior High School in every Province of Canada. Let the schools incorporate that exercise program into their current Physical Education class, either replacing the Phys-Ed class entirely or complimenting it. It could even be offered as an after school or lunch time fitness program. It is the cheapest option available, because it is one of the most powerful and explosive packages for elite fitness and exercise. With this program, it saves our governments from having to re-invent the wheel.

This way, we would see our future athletes getting better, stronger, and faster in less than one school year. But this is not the only advantage. It would also give students, who are still soaking up information, a lifetime of knowledge on how to make the smart choice of being fit, and living healthy. This could alleviate the growing problem of obesity in our country, physical ailments and mental illnesses could decrease, and the general level of health and well being in our country could increase by an incredible magnitude. Not to mention our future health care costs would plummet, and money would be saved.

I have personally used the P90X program, and all I can say is that it's cheap, requires little space and equipment, and it's effective. I would have been much healthier than i currently am if this, or a similar type of program, was available to me while in Junior/Senior High School.

This is a perfect example of thinking small and starting early. It is my hope that our government will incorporate such a program for future students, who will be our athletes and leaders in the years to come. For the cost involved, especially in an economic bind, I think it's an option the Canadian government should not be quick to dismiss.

On fornication and lust

I dislike how people make plans and brag about it when they 'get laid', and make it a goal to get laid with as many people as possible. People hear that, and soon everyone else starts talking about it and/or doing it. Then all of a sudden its normal to bed as many people as possible, because everyone does it. I hate it because it takes something wonderful like sex, and debases it into an illicit game of lust, based on chance and pleasure.

Everyone knows its wrong letting lust rule over love, no matter how good it feels. It's empty and devoid and can seriously damage you, yet so many people do it because it is normal in today's society. It is something that would have been considered very wrong in our society just 50 years earlier.

Love is a personal bond cherished between two people in love, not lacking self control, and free of mean pride and selfishness to name a few. It would be much better if we all had self control, controlling our entire being, being pure and patient for love, and not giving in but persisting until we find it. But as hard as that is to do, by listening to the ways of today's society you'll have a snowball's chance in hell.

The problem is that not enough people talk of love with sincerity, and the solution is that more people need to talk of love with sincerity. If more people talked of love by keeping the meaning of love pure, and letting others get a pure glimpse of its greatness, it would be beneficial to all people everywhere. Because in turn, more people will talk and love with sincerity, which would be a good thing for us all.

I hope our society will grasp that point, so someday we can all live and talk of love this way, because it will help us do more than just talk of love with sincerity. We would end up being excellent and admirable to one another from our core being, and speaking great things and living as examples for our younger generations to follow, leaving nothing to be ashamed of. Loving like the intelligent beings we really are, so that together we may become more so.
